Formed in 2004 by Joey Coma and Bryan Moore, “The Wish You Weres” are a punk rock band. And NOT by this new definition of punk rock: trendy and/or without balls. They have balls. UNMANUFACTURED and RAW. No need for labels or subcategories…..it’s just REAL punk rock.
In the vein of many before them, they come from a long list of influences; from Black Flag to the Ramones, Screeching Weasel to Social D, The Queers to the Descendents, and everything in between. They mix social teenage angst with snotty lyrics and loads of energy. It’s catchy, it’s raw, it’s undeniable.
And best of all, they’re here to stay. They show absolutely no slowing down this assault they’ve begun. Haven’t heard them yet? You will.
